Step 2 - Choosing

Advertising Properties

Properties available for rent are advertised each week. Adverts will be available every week from Midnight Wednesday to Midnight Sunday. They are advertised in the following ways:

  • Via Property Search on this website.
  • By telephoning our Advertising Hotline on 01252 774470
  • In a newsletter available from a variety of locations around Hart including;The Civic Offices in Fleet,ยท       Hart Neighbourhood Centre(Hook),  The libraries in Fleet and Yateley,  Fleet & Yateley Citizens Advice Bureaux,  Sentinel Housing Association (Lismoyne House, Church Road, Fleet)
  • Other locations may be added in the future If you are an agency or organisation and would like emailable copies please contact us.

The adverts tell you the landlord, location, size, rent and other features of the property to help you decide which properties are right for you.

Where available a photograph of the property or a similar house type is provided and you can access information about the local area and facilities.

The advert also tells you if there are any special requirements that the applicant must meet, such as age requirements and which band will be given priority for the property. If you are not in the band stated you may still apply for the property providing it is suitable for your family size.

A range of symbols are used to tell you about the property.

The minimum or maximum age that an applicant must be to apply for the property (age restriction will be displayed within the icon when viewed on the Property website or the Newsletter)

The property has a garden

 Parking Icon


Off road parking is available at the property

 Wheelchair Icon


The property is wheelchair accessible or has been adapted and priority will be given to households assessed as needing these adaptations.

'Bidding' or Expressing Your Interest in a Property

To apply for a property you must tell us that you wish to be considered for it. You may only apply for a property that is suitable for your family size. Click Step One-Registration for the maximum number of bedrooms that you are entitled to. In some circumstances it may be possible to apply for a smaller property than you are entitled to as long as this does not result in overcrowding. If you wish to be considered for smaller accommodation please put your request in writing to the Housing Options Team, Click How To Contact Us for contact details and opening hours.

You can express your interest or bid, as it is also known, in one of the following ways:

  • Online through our website. Login using your housing application number and the date of birth of the main applicant.
  • By telephoning our  24hr automated bidding line on 0845 602 4955 (to hear about available properties first call 01252 774470)
  • By texting 0778 148 6687


To use the website:

Go to         

  1. Login/Your Status
  2. Enter your Housing Register Application number and Date of Birth of the Main Applicant (use dd/mm/yyyy eg 01/03/1965)
  3. Click Property Search
  4. Select your property requirements then click Search or just click Search to view all available properties
  5. Click Apply Now on property advert to bid

To use the telephone:

Contact our 24 hour automated telephone service on 0845 602 4955 (Local Charges Apply)

  1. Housing Register Application number and Date of Birth of the Main Applicant
  2. Press 1 to bid for a property
  3. Enter a Property Reference Number followed by # (Shown on property advert as Property: or Property Ref:)
  4. If eligible to bid you are advised of the Queue Position (if you are not eligible the system tells you the reason for this)
  5. Press 1  to confirm
  6. You are told your bid has been Accepted

To text:

Text the following information to 0778 148 6687:

  1. Housing Application Number
  2. Date of Birth of the Main Applicant (use dd/mm/yyyy eg 01/03/1965)
  3. Property Reference Number
  • You MUST leave a space between each piece of information (forexample: 10839 01/03/1965 22)
  • Your bid WILL NOT BE REGISTERED if you do not text this information correctly
  • It is not possible to confirm that the bid has been received

Council and Housing Association Rented Accommodation

Properties available to rent are advertised from midnight on a Wednesday to midnight the following Sunday every week.

You will be able to bid for a maximum of 3 properties during the time they are advertised. Bids will not be accepted after midnight on a Sunday. You will only be able to bid for a property that is suitable for your family size.

To find out the properties currently available to rent click Property Search. Please note any available properties will only be advertised between midnight Wednesday and Midnight Sunday each week.
